Capital Development Authority
CDA is a public benefit corporation started in 1960. The entity is responsible for municipal services in the capital city of Islamabad. CDA is responsible for estate management, project execution and sector developments in Islamabad.
From I-9 to E-12, the regulatory authority has developed many sectors and provided various affordable options to the residents of Islamabad. CDA has 3 main responsibilities:
Act as regulatory authority: This includes defining the standards for building code, environment, and public safety.
Maintenance of city: This includes the responsibility for local roads maintenance and repair work, public infrastructure, and garbage collection
Developer and planner: This includes ownership of further expansion of Islamabad and future planning
